Why didn’t I receive an alert via my AW UK app?
All of the AuroraWatch UK mobile apps are written by 3rd party developers (i.e. not by the AuroraWatch UK team) and so we can’t guarantee that they will work fully or all of the time. Any support questions should therefore be directed to the app’s developer.
One common issue, though, is a lack of a data connection (e.g. no 3/4G or WiFi). Furthermore, we are aware of two issues with the apps:
- Windows Phone: the background service that pushes notifications sometimes stops and will not start again (even if the app is closed and re-opened). The only way to fix this is to reinstall the app.
